        最近在美國有牛隻感染狂牛症引發大眾的重視。狂牛症(Mad cow disease)的學名是Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE),意思是「牛的海綿樣腦病變」。狂牛症最早是在一九八六年英國發現,當時曾造成十幾萬頭牛隻死亡。
