Global Foundries 宣布將使用新一代 14nm FinFET 製程為 AMD 生產未來新產品

出自 AMD 的晶圓代工廠 Global Foundries 宣布將以最新的 14nm FinFET 製程為 AMD 的新產品進行代工生產，號稱受惠於新製程，新產品將可滿足個人電腦到數據中心所需，提供高性能、低功耗的運算與圖形技術產品。
AMD 已經確認有多項新產品將使用 Global Foundries 的 14LPP 工藝製程技術生產，並預計於 2016 年進行大量生產，屆時產品線將包括 CPU 、 APU 以及 GPU 等。目前 Global Foundries 的 14nm FinFET 製程是於紐約的 Fab 8 工廠生產，目前的早期生產版本 14LPE 已經通過驗證，而未來將以 14LPP 進行大規模生產。
